About Yoga and Lorna
I teach a flowing style of hatha yoga. Each movement follows the natural rhythm of the breath. This yoga stretches and strengthens muscles and improves circulation. We practice dynamically, making time to watch how our bodies and minds react to the experience. If you try yoga, you are likely to notice changes in yourself after the very first lesson.
I discovered Yoga in London in 1994, starting with athletic Astanga Vinyasa. I have since sampled a number of dynamic and calm forms of hatha yoga and developed my personal style. My teaching is inspired by Mark Whitwell, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Mukunda Stiles, Angela Farmer, Paul Grilley, and by my current teacher Ananda Leone.

Yoga for pregnancy
and mothers of young babies
The practice of yoga has many positive effects on pregnant women. Yoga includes physical stretching, mental centering and breath awareness. This makes it an ideal preparation for labour and childbirth.
Yoga encourages relaxation, internal focus and slowed breathing patterns: These will improve your well-being during pregnancy and aid in the development of your baby. Yoga also helps to relieve many of the common discomforts of pregnancy, such as lower back pain, nausea, insomnia, and headaches.
After the big day, yoga can help in postpartum recovery - and in coping with the stresses of parenting. I’ve found yoga a tremendous help during and after my own two pregnancies, and I enjoy sharing it with other mothers.
